Ahhh the hubby really wants to go to Chicago…and now I can’t disagree (not that I ever did to begin with :P)
We definitely recommend it! There’s so much to do and see there, you guys would have a great time!!
No deep dish?!?!?!
Not this time. Tara wanted to go to breweries & we kept getting told to eat Mexican food. Next time…we will be back.
Looks awesome guys! Those pizzas look so yummy too 🙂
It was a great trip and yeah, the pizza was fantastic!
The ‘windy city’ is definitely on our to-do-list. We loved the ’80’s themed shop’ and why not – some craft beer is always welcome too! We can’t wait to see it ourselves – we will use this and the ‘Chicago trip details’ for our trip 😉
Great. It’s on our list of places to get back to again. Such a fun, diverse city.
Ahhh I love this! Chicago is one of my favourite US cities and I did so many of these things when I visited for a week a few years ago. Deep dish pizza is an absolute must! I just wish we knew how to make it in Aus. And you are so right about taking in the views from the Hancock, a great way to take in the view without paying for the privilege up the Willis.
We will definitely try deep dish next time. There’s so much to do in Chicago, that is was hard fitting it all in this time! It’s a great city for craft beer, that’s something we definitely learned this time around.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to the states and I’m yet to pass by Chicago, but after checking out these travel pics it’s without a doubt on my list of places to visit. The 80’s themed shop looks so cool!
I’d say it’s a city definitely worth visiting when you get back to this side of the pond. Lots to do, really nice people and fantastic views!
Chicago seems like an awesome place to go. Was it windy when you were there? haha I’d love to go to the museum and learn how tornadoes form– I have a strange obsession with tornadoes and related severe weather 🙂
Windy only when it was raining. Otherwise, it was very hot. I had no idea Chicago could get that warm. Lol. The museums really are great. You could really spend hours at each one.
Looks like a great trip! We lived in Chicago for several years and having a drink at the Hancock building is always a must when in the city to enjoy the beautiful views!
First time going, but won’t be our last. Great city!
I haven’t been to Chicago in a few years, but it’s a fun town with lots to keep you busy. One of my favorite places to go in the evening was the Buckingham Fountain.
Next time we’re there, we’ll be sure to check out the Buckingham Fountain then!
I’m glad you enjoyed our great city? I’ve seen some strange things on the “L,” but never mice and/or handcuffs.
Thanks for the comment! We really loved Chicago and can’t wait to visit again sometime. We’ve been on a lot of metro systems and I think the mice & handcuffs things takes the cake!
